Am I feeling stressed... or not?

As I look at my life for the next year, I can already tell it will be a whirlwind of activity. Here are just a few of the exciting things going on:

-Drawing closer and closer to my Heavenly Father, and digging deeper into the exciting pages of the Bible!
-Seeing the majestic creation always changing around me!
-Continuing my job at the hospital (still learning new things every day!)
-Starting my last three semesters of college (can't WAIT to be done!)
-Balancing time with family and friends.
-Spending time with my amazing guy (and his family). We are really enjoying spending time with each other and getting to know each other better! God has blessed us in overwhelming ways.
-Yes, checking out facebook and "keeping up" with everyone.
-Drinking in the approaching Autumn smells.
-Encouraging my siblings in their school pursuits... and scolding them when they "only" get 97% on an assignment (I can't believe I grew up with a bunch of geniuses!!)
-And of course... keeping up with all the really important things like sleeping and eating.

I'm excited about everything, but I'm a little nervous about cramming it all into my life. I sometimes feel like this poor little mule:

I feel like I won't be able to hold up everything I have to get done - it will hold me up!

Thankfully, God has already planned on the stresses of this world to get a hold of us, and has promised a way out:

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. -Psalm 55:22

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. -I Peter 5:7

What a great reminder as I dive into the next several weeks and beyond! We are extremely blessed to have a Savior who lived on this earth and felt the stress of being human. He knows what we go through at every level, and has promised to be with us through it all. THAT gives me reassurance. I may not be as care-free as this rascal:

BUT - I know that I can always rest in the promise that God sees our stress and anxiety, and He implores us to cast our burdens on Him. That makes me excited and honored to enter this next year singing praises to God, and being thankful for all the blessings He has already sent my way!
